SCREENPRO TI-3C recessed in-ceiling anti-speckle projector screen for RGB triple-laser projectors

SCREENPRO TI-3C screen concealed inside the ceiling when retracted

Hidden When Not in Use

The TI-3C housing is designed for recessed ceiling installation, allowing the screen to retract discreetly above the finished ceiling when projection is not required. This creates a clean architectural appearance for home theaters, media rooms, meeting spaces, and premium residential interiors.

Only the lower closure panel remains visible after installation, helping the projection system blend naturally into the room instead of becoming a permanent visual feature.

SCREENPRO TI-3C large recessed projection screen for premium home theater

Large-Screen Cinema Without a Permanent Display

TI-3C provides a large-format projection surface while preserving the room's appearance when the screen is retracted. It is suitable for living rooms, dedicated theaters, multipurpose media spaces, and custom AV projects where a permanently visible television or fixed screen is not preferred.

Available screen sizes should be selected according to viewing distance, projector brightness, throw distance, ceiling structure and installation clearance.

SCREENPRO 3C anti-speckle projection material for RGB triple-laser projectors

3C Anti-Speckle Material for RGB Laser Projection

SCREENPRO® 3C material is engineered for RGB triple-laser and other compatible high-brightness projector systems. Its specialized optical surface helps reduce visible laser speckle, producing a smoother image texture and more comfortable viewing than conventional screen surfaces in suitable room conditions.

With 0.8 gain, a 160° viewing angle and support for high-resolution 4K and 8K content, the material is designed to preserve fine detail, natural color and balanced image contrast across a wide seating area.

SCREENPRO TI-3C recessed screen housing and motorized ceiling structure

Purpose-Built for Recessed Ceiling Installation

The reinforced housing is designed for integration into a prepared ceiling recess. Its motorized structure lowers the viewing surface smoothly for projection and retracts it into the ceiling after use.

The system includes an automatic overload cutout for safer long-term operation. Final ceiling slot dimensions, service access, power routing, and structural support should be confirmed before installation begins.

SCREENPRO TI-3C low-noise motorized in-ceiling projector screen

Quiet, Refined Motorized Operation

A low-noise motor provides controlled screen movement for residential and professional environments. The enclosed lower bar helps create a clean finished appearance and protects key components when the screen is retracted.

Optional control configurations may include RF remote control, wall control, trigger synchronization, RS232 or selected smart-control integration. Availability depends on the motor and control package specified for the project.

SCREENPRO TI-3C recessed ceiling projector screen installation options

Flexible Installation Planning

TI-3C can be integrated into new construction, renovation and custom AV projects. Installation details should be coordinated with the ceiling contractor, electrician and AV integrator before the ceiling is closed.

Confirm the screen size, housing length, ceiling opening, recess depth, wiring position, maintenance access and final image height before ordering. All project dimensions should be checked against the engineering specification table for the selected size.

SCREENPRO TI-3C adjustable top black border for recessed ceiling projection screen

Adjustable Viewing Height

The screen includes an extended top black border to help position the viewing area at a comfortable height below the ceiling. This is especially useful in rooms with high ceilings, built-in furniture or fixed projector placement.

The final upper and lower stopping positions should be adjusted carefully according to the supplied instructions. Do not operate the motor beyond its designed travel range.

SCREENPRO TI-3C motorized screen control connection for AV automation

Integrates with Your AV System

TI-3C can be configured for integration with compatible projectors and third-party control systems. A trigger or automation interface can allow the screen to lower when the projector is switched on and retract after the projector is turned off.

Control compatibility varies by motor version and selected accessories. Confirm the required voltage, plug type, control protocol, and automation method before production.

SCREENPRO TI-3C tab tensioned projection surface for accurate 4K and 8K images

Tab-Tensioned for a Flatter Image Surface

The side-tensioning system applies balanced tension across the projection surface to help maintain flatness. A flatter screen supports more consistent focus, straighter image geometry and better preservation of fine projected detail.

This is particularly important for high-resolution RGB laser projection, where waves or surface deformation can make image distortion and focus variation more visible.

SCREENPRO 3C projection material sample for RGB laser projector testing

Test the 3C Material Before Final Selection

Projector optics, laser architecture, room lighting, wall color, and viewing distance can all affect the final image. Testing a material sample with the actual projector is the most reliable way to evaluate speckle reduction, brightness, contrast, texture and color performance before confirming a full-size screen.

SCREENPRO offers projection material samples for project evaluation. Share your projector model and room conditions if you need help choosing between 3C, 3W or another compatible material.

SCREENPRO architectural projection screen solutions for home cinema, ALR, acoustic transparent and commercial applications

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you may want to know before choosing a SCREENPRO® projection screen.

The ideal screen material depends on your projector type, room lighting, and installation environment.

  • UST projector → UST ALR screen material
  • RGB triple laser projector → 3C or 3W anti-speckle material
  • Standard throw projector → white screen or long throw ALR material
  • Dedicated theater → acoustic transparent screen material

If you are unsure, SCREENPRO can recommend a suitable projection screen solution based on your projector model and room layout.

A standard white screen is best for dark or controlled lighting rooms. An ALR screen is designed to reduce the influence of ambient light and improve perceived contrast in brighter environments.

  • White screen → best for dark rooms
  • ALR screen → better contrast with ambient light
  • UST ALR screen → designed for ultra short throw projectors
  • Long throw ALR screen → designed for standard or long throw projectors

The best screen for contrast depends on your projector type and room lighting. In dark rooms, a high-quality white or acoustic transparent screen can deliver natural contrast. In rooms with ambient light, ALR screen materials help maintain deeper blacks and stronger perceived contrast.

  • UST projector → UST ALR screen
  • Standard throw projector → Long throw ALR screen
  • RGB triple laser projector → 3C or 3W anti-speckle material
  • Dedicated cinema room → White or acoustic transparent screen

For RGB triple laser projectors, SCREENPRO recommends 3C Anti-Speckle or 3W Woven Anti-Speckle materials. These materials are designed to reduce laser speckle while preserving image contrast, color performance and viewing comfort.

Technically yes, but a dedicated UST ALR screen usually provides better image performance. UST projectors project light from a steep angle, so a normal screen may show lower contrast, uneven brightness or visible texture depending on the material.

Screen size should be selected according to viewing distance, room size, projector brightness and installation space.

  • 8–10 ft viewing distance → 100"–120"
  • 10–12 ft viewing distance → 120"–135"
  • 12–15 ft viewing distance → 135"–150"

For commercial, church, education or large venue applications, custom screen size recommendations may be required.

  • 3C → balanced anti-speckle performance for RGB laser projectors
  • 3W → stronger anti-speckle performance with woven acoustic transparency

3C is suitable for many triple laser projection setups, while 3W is recommended when stronger speckle reduction and acoustic transparency are required.

Most SCREENPRO® floor-rising screens are designed as freestanding systems and do not require wall fixation for normal use. For special installations, wall brackets or additional securing methods may be recommended depending on the environment.

Temporary waves or wrinkles may be caused by transportation, temperature changes, humidity, storage conditions or installation tension. Tab-tensioned and fixed frame structures generally provide better long-term flatness than non-tensioned or folding screen systems.

Many SCREENPRO motorized projection screens support RF remote control, 12V trigger, USB trigger, RS232, Tuya Smart, Alexa and Google Assistant integration. Compatibility may vary depending on the motor and control system selected.

Yes. Material samples are available for testing before purchasing a complete screen system. Samples can help you compare brightness, contrast, texture, acoustic transparency and anti-speckle performance in your own environment.

Yes. SCREENPRO supports customized screen sizes depending on the screen type, material, aspect ratio and application requirements. Custom options are commonly used for home cinema, commercial spaces, conference rooms, churches and OEM/ODM projects.

Warranty coverage varies by product category. Motorized systems, projection surfaces and accessories are covered under SCREENPRO warranty policies. Please contact SCREENPRO for specific warranty details based on your product model and installation type.
