What is the MSL-600?

The MSL-600 is a motorized sliding and lift platform designed to move an Ultra Short Throw projector both forward and vertically. It supports concealed cabinet integration while helping the projector return to its required operating position.

How is the MSL-600 different from the MST-600?

The MST-600 provides motorized forward and backward sliding. The MSL-600 adds vertical lifting, making it suitable for installations where the projector must rise from inside a cabinet before moving into its projection position.

What is the MSL-600 designed for?

It is designed for Laser TV cabinets, custom media furniture and built-in home theater installations that require both motorized sliding and vertical projector positioning.

Can the MSL-600 be installed inside a TV cabinet?

Yes. The platform can be integrated into a compatible TV cabinet or custom media console. The cabinet must provide sufficient internal space, structural support, ventilation and unobstructed clearance for both the sliding and lifting movements.

How far can the platform slide?

The MSL-600 provides approximately 200 mm, or 7.87 inches, of motorized sliding travel.

How high can the platform lift?

The platform provides approximately 180 mm, or 7.09 inches, of vertical lift above the base. The overall height in the fully raised position is approximately 300 mm, or 11.81 inches, including the 120 mm base height.

What does the 590 mm total extension mean?

The 590 mm specification represents the approximate total front-to-back installation reach when the 390 mm-deep base and the 200 mm sliding travel are combined. Confirm the available cabinet depth and front clearance before installation.

What is the maximum load capacity?

The maximum load capacity is 18 kg, or approximately 39.7 lb. The combined weight of the projector and any additional mounting components must remain within this limit.

Which UST projectors are compatible?

The MSL-600 is suitable for many Ultra Short Throw projectors, provided the projector fits the platform and remains within the 18 kg load limit. Check the projector width, depth, mounting points, ventilation requirements and projection distance before installation.

Why is precise UST projector positioning important?

UST projectors are highly sensitive to changes in distance, height and angle. Even a small movement can affect image size, geometry, focus and alignment with the projection screen.

Does the MSL-600 remember its operating position?

Yes. The position-memory function allows the platform to return to its preset operating position, helping maintain consistent projector placement during repeated use.

Can the MSL-600 operate with the projector?

The platform supports synchronized operation when connected to a compatible control or trigger system. The exact operating method depends on the selected configuration and installation setup.

What cabinet clearance is required?

The cabinet must accommodate the platform base, projector body, 200 mm sliding travel and 180 mm vertical lift. Additional clearance should be allowed for ventilation, cable movement, installation access and manufacturing tolerances.

Does the cabinet top require an opening?

Most concealed installations require a suitably sized opening or movable cabinet panel so the projector and platform can rise without interference. The opening must be planned according to the actual projector and platform dimensions.

What should be checked before installation?

Check the projector dimensions and weight, cabinet depth, available lift clearance, installation strength, ventilation, cable routing, screen position and required projection distance. A full movement test should be completed before final cabinet finishing.

How should the power and signal cables be routed?

Allow sufficient flexible cable length for both sliding and lifting movement. Secure cables away from the tracks, lift mechanism, folding cover and other moving components to prevent pinching or obstruction.

Does the MSL-600 require routine maintenance?

Keep the platform, sliding path and lift area free from dust, cables and foreign objects. Periodically check the mounting points and confirm that the platform can complete its full movement smoothly without interference.

Is professional installation recommended?

Yes. Professional installation is recommended because the cabinet structure, projector geometry, electrical connections, movement clearance and screen alignment must all be coordinated accurately.

The ideal screen material depends on your projector type, room lighting, and installation environment.

  • UST projector → UST ALR screen material

A standard white screen is best for dark or controlled lighting rooms. An ALR screen is designed to reduce the influence of ambient light and improve perceived contrast in brighter environments.

The best screen for contrast depends on your projector type and room lighting. In dark rooms, a high-quality white or acoustic transparent screen can deliver natural contrast. In rooms with ambient light, ALR screen materials help maintain deeper blacks and stronger perceived contrast.

For RGB triple laser projectors, SCREENPRO recommends 3C Anti-Speckle or 3W Woven Anti-Speckle materials. These materials are designed to reduce laser speckle while preserving image contrast, color performance and viewing comfort.

Technically yes, but a dedicated UST ALR screen usually provides better image performance. UST projectors project light from a steep angle, so a normal screen may show lower contrast, uneven brightness or visible texture depending on the material.

Screen size should be selected according to viewing distance, room size, projector brightness and installation space.

  • 8–10 ft viewing distance → 100"–120"
  • 10–12 ft viewing distance → 120"–135"
  • 12–15 ft viewing distance → 135"–150"

For commercial, church, education or large venue applications, custom screen size recommendations may be required.

  • 3C → balanced anti-speckle performance for RGB laser projectors
  • 3W → stronger anti-speckle performance with woven acoustic transparency

3C is suitable for many triple laser projection setups, while 3W is recommended when stronger speckle reduction and acoustic transparency are required.

Most SCREENPRO® floor-rising screens are designed as freestanding systems and do not require wall fixation for normal use. For special installations, wall brackets or additional securing methods may be recommended depending on the environment.

Temporary waves or wrinkles may be caused by transportation, temperature changes, humidity, storage conditions or installation tension. Tab-tensioned and fixed frame structures generally provide better long-term flatness than non-tensioned or folding screen systems.

Many SCREENPRO motorized projection screens support RF remote control, 12V trigger, USB trigger, RS232, Tuya Smart, Alexa and Google Assistant integration. Compatibility may vary depending on the motor and control system selected.
