SCREENPRO curved acoustic transparent cinema screen for dedicated home theater

Why choose a curved acoustic transparent cinema screen

Why SCREENPRO Curved?

Curved projection screens are designed to create a more immersive cinematic environment by extending the image deeper into the viewer’s peripheral vision. Compared with flat screens, curved screens help deliver a greater sense of scale, depth, and visual engagement for dedicated home theater spaces.

Better immersion
More uniform perceived brightness
Wider visual engagement
Reduced edge distraction
More cinematic depth

Woven acoustic transparent fabric for hidden speaker home theater

Twill Braided Weave Fabric With Double Structure

Designed with precision-woven acoustic transparent fabric, the FC Series allows speakers to be positioned directly behind the screen for true cinema sound alignment.

Sound waves can pass through the woven material naturally while maintaining excellent image detail and viewing comfort. Compared with ordinary woven structures, SCREENPRO twill braided weave fabric is designed to help reduce moiré effect and improve overall acoustic performance.

Black backing layer for acoustic transparent projection screen

Eliminate Light Leakage

The SCREENPRO FC Series combines a precision curved frame, acoustic transparent screen technology, and a black velvet border to help reduce overscan reflections and improve cinematic immersion.

The acoustic transparent black backing layer minimizes rear-wall reflections and unwanted light leakage for improved contrast and deeper image perception.

Frequently Asked Questions

Curved screens help create a more immersive cinematic experience by matching the natural field of human vision. Compared with flat screens, curved cinema screens can improve perceived depth, reduce edge distraction, and create more uniform brightness across the viewing surface. This is why many premium cinemas and dedicated home theaters prefer curved screen designs.

For dedicated home theater environments, curved projection screens can significantly enhance immersion and cinematic realism. They are especially effective with large screen sizes, CinemaScope formats, and multi-channel surround sound systems. A curved screen can make viewers feel more surrounded by the image, similar to a commercial cinema experience.

Yes. Curved screens help wrap the image around the viewer’s field of vision, increasing perceived image depth and reducing the feeling of watching a flat surface. This creates a more immersive and engaging viewing experience, particularly for movies, gaming, and CinemaScope content.

Yes. SCREENPRO curved acoustic transparent screens are designed to allow speakers to be positioned behind the screen surface. This enables sound to come directly from the image location, creating a more realistic cinema experience while maintaining a clean and minimalist theater design.

The ideal seating position is generally centered relative to the screen curvature. However, SCREENPRO curved screens are designed with wide viewing angles to maintain image consistency across multiple seating positions. Proper seating distance and curvature radius selection can further optimize the immersive effect.

Curved screens are commonly paired with high-performance home theater projectors, including 4K laser projectors, LCoS projectors, and dedicated cinema projectors. Long throw projectors are typically recommended for curved CinemaScope installations to achieve optimal geometry and image uniformity.

Woven acoustic transparent fabric is often preferred in high-end home theaters because it can reduce visible perforation patterns and help minimize moiré effects. It also provides more natural sound transmission while maintaining excellent image detail and viewing comfort. The best option depends on projector type, seating distance, and theater design goals.

Yes. SCREENPRO offers custom curved projection screen solutions for dedicated theaters, including CinemaScope aspect ratios, custom curvature radius, custom frame dimensions, and multiple acoustic transparent fabric options. OEM and project-based customization services are also available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you may want to know before choosing a SCREENPRO® projection screen.

The ideal screen material depends on your projector type, room lighting, and installation environment.

  • UST projector → UST ALR screen material
  • RGB triple laser projector → 3C or 3W anti-speckle material
  • Standard throw projector → white screen or long throw ALR material
  • Dedicated theater → acoustic transparent screen material

If you are unsure, SCREENPRO can recommend a suitable projection screen solution based on your projector model and room layout.

A standard white screen is best for dark or controlled lighting rooms. An ALR screen is designed to reduce the influence of ambient light and improve perceived contrast in brighter environments.

  • White screen → best for dark rooms
  • ALR screen → better contrast with ambient light
  • UST ALR screen → designed for ultra short throw projectors
  • Long throw ALR screen → designed for standard or long throw projectors

The best screen for contrast depends on your projector type and room lighting. In dark rooms, a high-quality white or acoustic transparent screen can deliver natural contrast. In rooms with ambient light, ALR screen materials help maintain deeper blacks and stronger perceived contrast.

  • UST projector → UST ALR screen
  • Standard throw projector → Long throw ALR screen
  • RGB triple laser projector → 3C or 3W anti-speckle material
  • Dedicated cinema room → White or acoustic transparent screen

For RGB triple laser projectors, SCREENPRO recommends 3C Anti-Speckle or 3W Woven Anti-Speckle materials. These materials are designed to reduce laser speckle while preserving image contrast, color performance and viewing comfort.

Technically yes, but a dedicated UST ALR screen usually provides better image performance. UST projectors project light from a steep angle, so a normal screen may show lower contrast, uneven brightness or visible texture depending on the material.

Screen size should be selected according to viewing distance, room size, projector brightness and installation space.

  • 8–10 ft viewing distance → 100"–120"
  • 10–12 ft viewing distance → 120"–135"
  • 12–15 ft viewing distance → 135"–150"

For commercial, church, education or large venue applications, custom screen size recommendations may be required.

  • 3C → balanced anti-speckle performance for RGB laser projectors
  • 3W → stronger anti-speckle performance with woven acoustic transparency

3C is suitable for many triple laser projection setups, while 3W is recommended when stronger speckle reduction and acoustic transparency are required.

Most SCREENPRO® floor-rising screens are designed as freestanding systems and do not require wall fixation for normal use. For special installations, wall brackets or additional securing methods may be recommended depending on the environment.

Temporary waves or wrinkles may be caused by transportation, temperature changes, humidity, storage conditions or installation tension. Tab-tensioned and fixed frame structures generally provide better long-term flatness than non-tensioned or folding screen systems.

Many SCREENPRO motorized projection screens support RF remote control, 12V trigger, USB trigger, RS232, Tuya Smart, Alexa and Google Assistant integration. Compatibility may vary depending on the motor and control system selected.

Yes. Material samples are available for testing before purchasing a complete screen system. Samples can help you compare brightness, contrast, texture, acoustic transparency and anti-speckle performance in your own environment.

Yes. SCREENPRO supports customized screen sizes depending on the screen type, material, aspect ratio and application requirements. Custom options are commonly used for home cinema, commercial spaces, conference rooms, churches and OEM/ODM projects.

Warranty coverage varies by product category. Motorized systems, projection surfaces and accessories are covered under SCREENPRO warranty policies. Please contact SCREENPRO for specific warranty details based on your product model and installation type.
