Woven Acoustically Transparent Projection Screen + Black Acoustically Transparent Backing

Designed for home theaters and professional AV installations with speakers positioned behind the projection screen, this dual-layer motorized screen combines a woven acoustically transparent projection surface with a separate black acoustically transparent backing screen.

Each layer uses its own motorized housing and roller system. The two housings are mechanically joined with SCREENPRO® dedicated coupling brackets, creating one integrated installation while allowing each screen material to roll independently.

Black Backing. Better Image Control.

The separate rear black acoustically transparent screen helps reduce light transmission through the woven projection surface and limits visual interference from speakers, wall surfaces, equipment, or reflected light behind the screen.

Because the rear backing screen is also acoustically transparent, speakers can remain positioned behind the projection system while preserving the intended acoustically transparent installation.

Independent Rollers. Integrated Design.

The woven projection surface and black acoustically transparent backing are not permanently laminated or rolled together. Each screen layer operates on its own roller and inside its own motorized housing.

This independent dual-roller design allows the two different materials to roll separately while deploying together as one synchronized projection screen system, helping maintain stable rolling and consistent screen positioning.

Synchronized Dual-Motor Operation

Both motorized screen layers can be configured for synchronized operation, allowing the front acoustically transparent projection screen and rear black backing screen to deploy and retract together.

The complete dual-layer screen system can be operated together using one remote control or a compatible synchronization controller, depending on the selected motor and control configuration.

Engineered for Flatness

The front woven acoustically transparent projection surface uses a tab-tensioning system to maintain consistent lateral tension across the viewing area.

A flatter projection surface helps reduce waves and edge curl, providing a more uniform image across the screen for home theater and professional projection applications.

Dedicated Coupling Bracket

SCREENPRO® dedicated coupling brackets mechanically connect the two independent motorized screen housings, keeping both assemblies closely aligned as one integrated dual-layer projection system.

The compact bracket design supports near-flush ceiling installation while maintaining the required spacing and alignment between the front projection screen and the separate rear acoustically transparent backing screen.

Compact Ceiling Installation

The two motorized housings are designed to sit closely together and mount near the ceiling, creating a clean installation while retaining independent roller and motor systems for both screen layers.

When retracted, both the projection surface and black backing screen are stored inside their respective housings, leaving the wall and viewing area below the screen clear.

Control & System Integration

Depending on the selected motor and control configuration, SCREENPRO® motorized projector screens can support remote control, projector synchronization, dry contact, RS485, and other professional AV integration options.
