Find the right projection fabric for RGB triple-laser projectors, home theater rooms, acoustic transparent installations, and future laser display systems.
As RGB triple-laser projectors continue to evolve, choosing the right projection fabric has become just as important as selecting the projector itself. SCREENPRO® develops anti-speckle screen materials for different environments, projector types, acoustic requirements, and installation methods.
Laser speckle is a visible grainy or shimmering texture caused by coherent laser light reflecting from a projection surface. It is especially noticeable with RGB triple-laser projectors, where red, green, and blue laser light can create stronger interference patterns.
RGB laser light is highly coherent. When it reflects from a regular projection surface, interference patterns can appear as sparkling, grain, or uneven texture.
The projection fabric can either preserve laser interference or help diffuse it. This is why anti-speckle projection fabrics are important for premium RGB laser home theaters.
ALR screens are mainly designed to reject ambient light and improve perceived contrast. However, ambient light rejection does not automatically mean laser speckle reduction. For RGB triple-laser projection, the optical surface must also help reduce visible speckle while preserving contrast, color accuracy, and image smoothness.
SCREENPRO® is expanding its anti-speckle projection fabric lineup for RGB triple-laser projectors, including available materials such as 3C and 3W, as well as upcoming fabrics such as 3A and 3H.
Different home theaters require different optical solutions. SCREENPRO® continues to develop projection fabrics for RGB triple-laser projectors, acoustic transparent rooms, ALR environments, and next-generation laser display systems.
Premium anti-speckle optical surface for RGB triple-laser home theater projection.
Woven anti-speckle fabric for home theaters with speakers placed behind the screen.
An upcoming projection fabric designed for next-generation laser display applications.
A future projection fabric currently being developed as part of the SCREENPRO® laser projection material lineup.
The best anti-speckle fabric depends on your projector type, room design, speaker placement, screen structure, and viewing priorities.
| Material | Best For | Acoustic Transparent | Speckle Reduction | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SCREENPRO® 3C | RGB triple-laser projectors, premium home theater, smooth image performance | No | Excellent | Available Now |
| SCREENPRO® 3W | Acoustic transparent home theater, speakers behind the screen | Yes | Very Good | Available Now |
| SCREENPRO® 3A | Future laser projection applications and expanded material options | To Be Confirmed | Under Development | Coming Soon |
| SCREENPRO® 3H | Next-generation laser projection scenarios and OEM/ODM development | To Be Confirmed | Under Development | Coming Soon |
SCREENPRO® anti-speckle fabrics can support different screen structures and OEM/ODM requirements depending on project needs.
Recommended for dedicated theater rooms where image flatness, long-term stability, and premium visual performance are priorities.
Choose 3W when speakers need to be installed behind the screen for a clean cinematic front wall and natural sound positioning.
3C can be used for selected tensioned screen systems where RGB laser speckle reduction and smooth image quality are required.
SCREENPRO® can support custom screen materials, sizes, structures, and future material development for brand partners and distributors.
Build a better understanding of laser speckle, projection screen fabrics, and RGB laser screen selection.
An anti-speckle projection fabric is a screen material designed to reduce visible laser speckle caused by coherent laser light, especially from RGB triple-laser projectors.
Most RGB triple-laser projectors can produce some level of speckle, but visibility depends on the projector, screen fabric, viewing distance, image brightness, and room conditions.
Not always. ALR screens are designed to reject ambient light, but laser speckle reduction requires a surface that can help diffuse or reduce coherent laser interference.
SCREENPRO® 3C is a premium optical surface focused on RGB laser speckle reduction and image smoothness. SCREENPRO® 3W is a woven acoustic transparent anti-speckle fabric designed for behind-screen speaker setups.
SCREENPRO® 3A and 3H are upcoming projection fabrics currently under development as part of the SCREENPRO® laser projection fabric lineup. More specification details will be introduced after release.
SCREENPRO® 3W is the better choice when speakers need to be placed behind the screen, because it combines woven acoustic transparency with improved anti-speckle performance.
For most RGB triple-laser home theater setups, SCREENPRO® 3C is recommended when the main goal is strong speckle reduction, smooth image reproduction, and premium contrast.
No screen fabric can guarantee 100% speckle removal in every condition, but a dedicated anti-speckle material can significantly reduce visible speckle.
