SCREENPRO® AV INTEGRATION SOLUTION
Two motorized screens. One synchronized movement. SCREENPRO® combines a woven acoustically transparent projection screen with a separate black backing screen to create a retractable dual-layer solution for home cinema and professional AV installations.
THE CHALLENGE
Woven acoustically transparent projection materials are designed to allow sound from speakers positioned behind the screen to pass through the projection surface.
Because the material is acoustically open, however, some projected light can also pass through the screen. Bright walls, speakers, equipment or other objects behind the projection surface may therefore become visually noticeable in certain installations.
A black backing layer helps reduce light transmission and visual interference behind the woven projection surface.
THE SCREENPRO® SOLUTION
Instead of permanently attaching a backing layer to the projection fabric, SCREENPRO uses two motorized screen assemblies: a woven AT projection screen in front and a black backing screen behind it.
Provides the projection surface while allowing sound from speakers positioned behind the screen to pass through.
Helps reduce transmitted light and minimizes visual interference from the wall, speakers and equipment behind the projection surface.
MECHANICAL SYNCHRONIZATION
The two motorized screen assemblies are joined using a dedicated coupling bracket. The bracket keeps the front projection screen and rear backing screen together as one integrated installation.
This configuration allows both layers to deploy and retract together, eliminating the need to operate the front and rear screens separately.
SYNCHRONIZED CONTROL
The dual-layer screen system can be configured so that one remote controls both motorized screens together. A single command deploys or retracts the complete front-and-rear screen assembly.
PROJECTOR INTEGRATION
For compatible configurations, the dual-screen system can also be connected to a projector trigger solution, allowing both screen layers to respond together when the projection system is turned on or off.
The projector or AV system sends the trigger command.
The woven projection surface and rear black backing lower together.
Both layers retract together, returning the room to a clean, open appearance.
CEILING-MOUNTED INSTALLATION
The combined dual-screen assembly can be ceiling-mounted, making it suitable for spaces where a permanent fixed-frame acoustically transparent screen is not practical or desired.
When viewing is finished, both the projection surface and the black backing retract overhead, leaving the space below open.
WHY USE A BLACK BACKING?
The rear black layer helps absorb light that passes through the acoustically transparent projection surface.
Helps reduce the visibility of speakers, equipment and other objects positioned behind the projection screen.
Unlike a permanently installed backing layer, both screens can retract when the projection system is not in use.
APPLICATIONS
The dual-layer configuration is particularly useful when speakers need to remain behind the projection surface while the complete screen system must remain retractable.
